Founded by Stephanie LaVasseur-Karpati and Erik Karpati and inspired by their daughter Celia, Celia's Place grew from a family's love — and a mother's frustration with playgrounds that too often left children and families feeling excluded.
They imagined something better: a destination where every child can explore, imagine, learn, and belong through educational play, sensory-friendly spaces, family experiences, private celebrations, and community connection.
